The Kocher grasping forceps (also known as Kocher clamp or Kocher hemostatic forceps) is a ratcheted, scissor-like surgical instrument designed to clamp blood vessels and grasp tissue securely. It is distinguished by its 1 x 2 teeth configuration—one tooth on one jaw and two on the other—which interdigitate when closed to provide a firm, non-slip grip on dense tissues such as fascia and aponeurosis.
